My passion for Bible study stems from a diverse background and a deep desire to know Truth. I was once the skeptic arguing the validity of something so ancient... now I am the defender because I have dug... deep down... to learn the value of the timeless Truths we are privileged to hold in our hands.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Shortly after I went into missions work, a couple of women God had given me to mentor asked me to lead them in a Bible study... I was stumped. Without someone else scripting me in what to say: I was clueless. How do you teach something so amazing? How do you communicate what you absorb in your own quiet time? The day I realized I didn't know how to TEACH something so critical to our faith, stands as a crisp reminder and passionate drive behind why I attempt to teach here... and encourage and equip other women to do the same.
Since that fateful day, God opened the door for me to attend the School of Biblical Studies through YWAM. I have also studied many books and styles of Bible study in order to have a versatile understanding of HOW to implement a good study. I'm still far from being an expert, but God has given me the Call and the Confidence to step forward and share what I learn.
Over the last few years I have begun to piece together mini studies... and some continuous ones. I thought it best to create a resource bank here to help others dive into some of these consecutive studies God has led me to create. The content will update and change as more studies and resources are added. You can click on adjoining pictures to be taken to the threads they pertain to.
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Newest study series will be listed first....
I have bounced around my Bible for years, pretty much covering all the books but never consecutively. Last year I took on a challenge to read chronologically through my Bible using the plan (with in-picture link) below. Most of this study serious is in the old testament and I have still yet to finish following through on the plan!! Other studies have called me away from regularly checking off the chronological readings (currently I'm studying/teaching Philippians!) but when the school year lets out and I (maybe, perhaps) have more time on my hands I hope to pick it back up

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Jesus is throughout the entire Bible, not just the New Testament. Studying the Old Testament with this in mind reveals such amazing depth and rich (even applicable to today) meaning!
The Old Testament is Jesus concealed
The New Testament is Jesus revealed
Kind of puts an awesome spin on the O.T. passages when you read them!
